APG Celebrates 10 Years of Success

Looking back at 10 years of milestones

It’s hard to imagine that it has been a decade since a small group of people had the vision of providing investors access to high-quality private lending investments which provided passive returns. But, 10 years on, and the numbers speak for themselves:

• Over $35 Million in Funds Under Management
• Over 270 active Investors
• 220 Business Loans Funded worth over $125M
• 9.26% p.a. average return-on-investment since inception

Few companies have the privilege of surviving 10 years of operations. APG is proud to not only have survived, but to have thrived as a company in spite of numerous challenges throughout the decade. It’s all thanks to our investors who have shown their trust and support for APG through the years.

It has been an honour to have serviced all of our clients who remain our driving motivation to keep on improving and delivering the quality investment they’ve come to know and enjoy at APG.

Below is a speech given by Managing Director, Lauren Taylor, at our recent 10th birthday celebrations:

“When Tim (Private Mortgages Australia and Active Property Group founder) first asked me if I wanted to join the team to look after Investor Relations I was pretty terrified at the thought of calling up strangers and asking them to trust me with their hard-earned money. However, I quickly started to really enjoy speaking with investors, answering their questions and getting to know them (without offering personalised advice of course). 

I now regularly get told that our investors really appreciate having a team they can call and get straight answers from or email and get a quick response and that’s something I’m really proud of. Having great relationships with our investors is really important to us, whether they’ve been with us from the beginning or are just getting started. So I wanted to say a huge thank you to the investors who are here tonight to celebrate with us and those who couldn’t make it, it really means a lot that you continue to trust us and I look forward to the next 10 years of delivering great returns. 

I also want to say a big thanks to the rest of the APG and PMA family, the guys and girls on the lending team and the credit team, you’re amazing at what you do, and I think there’s plenty of brokers that will testify to that. And to the IT team, the accounts team and the marketing team, we literally wouldn’t be here without you and the great work you do every single day. And lastly, to my colleague Lhora on the investor relations team who a lot of our investors will have spoken to, I wanted to acknowledge the amazing work she does looking after our investors.
